Live audio description and narration on guests’ own phones and headphones. No listener account. No login.
Bring the visual story of a performance into words. Your describer shares the action, expressions, costumes, and scenery as the event unfolds. Blind and low-vision guests listen through AudioVista on their own devices.
Their phone. Their headphones. Your live description. Guests use their own supported iPhone or Android device, with no dedicated receiver to collect or return.
You bring the performance. Your describer brings the detail.
Set your venue’s address
Enter the venue’s street address in the online host setup. Our team helps arrange the required host access, verify the destination, and check that the listening area covers the intended audience.
Choose how to broadcast
An authorized host can broadcast using AudioVista on an iPhone and a suitable microphone. If you use another host application, a computer, or your own audio equipment, talk with us about connecting your setup.
Welcome your listeners
Guests open AudioVista on their own supported phone at the venue, allow location access, and choose the available live event. No listener account or login is required. They use their own headphones and an internet connection.
The address sets the audience’s location. Your describer can be at the venue or elsewhere. A remote describer needs a suitable view or production feed to follow the performance.
Small gatherings. Big productions.
Planning for 10–20 guests? Or an event with up to 5,000?
Tell us how many people will attend and how many are expected to listen. A small description group of 10–20 and a large venue have different needs. Guests bring their own phones and headphones, so your listening plan can center on the audience rather than distributing dedicated receivers.
For events with up to 5,000 audience members, contact us early to plan the expected simultaneous listeners, venue coverage, and internet capacity. Large-event service is subject to capacity review and testing. We confirm the supported simultaneous listener count with your team before committing to the event.

Your voice. Your way of working.
Use a host’s iPhone for a straightforward broadcast, or discuss how your existing host application or audio device could connect. We’ll review the source, microphone, and connection requirements with your team before the event. External applications and equipment require compatibility review and setup.
AudioVista Live carries a human host’s live audio. Use it for audio description, pre-show orientation, narration, and other spoken event guidance.
Make the sound check part of the plan.
Check the audience area. Address-based setup requires configured administrator host access. Test listener discovery from the seats and entrances you intend to cover; an address alone does not guarantee coverage of an entire venue.
Test connectivity and timing. Hosts and listeners need internet access. Check the venue’s Wi-Fi or mobile coverage, audio delay, and playback on representative phones and headphones before a performance.
Prepare a guest welcome. Share app download instructions before arrival and help guests join and adjust their headphone volume before the show begins.
Review the event’s audio mode. Groups receive host audio. Supported sessions with exactly one listener can become two-way; discuss your event’s needs during setup.
Questions before curtain?
Does the audience need dedicated receivers?
Guests use the AudioVista app on their own supported iPhone or Android phone with their own headphones. They do not need to borrow a dedicated receiver. Plan assistance or alternative arrangements for guests who do not have a compatible device.
Do guests need an account or have to log in?
No. Audience members can listen at the venue without creating an account or logging in. They need the AudioVista app, a supported phone, location access, headphones, and an internet connection. Broadcasters need separately configured host access.
Can the describer broadcast from somewhere else?
Yes, with configured address-based host access. The audience is at the designated venue while the describer broadcasts remotely. Arrange a suitable production feed and test its timing alongside the listener audio.
Can we use our own host app or sound equipment?
Contact us with your application, device, and audio source. We’ll review the integration requirements. The current native hosting path uses AudioVista on an iPhone; other sources need an agreed setup.
Is this the same as movie audio description?
Live uses a host’s voice for events as they happen. For synchronized movie audio description, explore AudioVista Showtime.
